创业的故事
用了一下午的时间,一口气读完了这本书 (忙里偷闲,从Houston Public Library借了这本书), 感觉蛮棒的.
李开复认为陈士骏的创业具有典型硅谷创业人所应有的几乎一切特质: 永远追随我心的执着; 对创业的狂热和投入; 对产品,用户和科技的敏锐眼光; 优势互补的创业伙伴; 充满活力的精英团队; 曲折跌宕的创业历程......
我的理解: 创业= Dreamer+Doer=Be Your Own Boss
陈士骏没有只沉浸在自己的想法中, 而是通过自己的努力并排除和苦服一切困难去实现自己的想法, 这就是成功的人和失败的人本质的区别吧.
可是成功的定义又是什么呢? 陈士骏认为:
在幼年时, 好好学习. 后来他考到了伊力诺依香槟分校, 软件工程数一数二的学校;
高中和大学时, 赚很多钱, 住大房子. 他在21岁就已经成为百万富翁, 并在加州买了大房子, 首付$120万; 算成功了吧? 可是后来有人说, 你还不够有钱, 不够有名.
但是在将YouTube出售给Google后, 他随即成为了亿万富翁, 而且当YouTube全球流行他被当作偶像崇拜的时候, 有钱又有名, 算不算成功呢? 别人眼里的他是成功的, 可他自己却不这么认为. 因为这些东西, 钱, 房子, 名声, 会在一瞬间就失去, 只要一场疾痛 (此时,他已诊断出脑子里有一个直径3cm的肿瘤). 如果他在昏迷第二次的时候, 没有醒过来的话, 他之前的那些付出有是为了什么呢? 他又给他的妻子和孩子留下了什么呢? 有没有一种创业可以在做成功了之后, 即使没有办法再做了, 我的家人就算什么都不用做也可以享受着我之前的努力和付出带来的成果呢?
创业, 多么刺激和有挑战的一个词儿, 也是这些信息狂热者最喜爱的一个词儿, 导致像陈士骏, 比尔盖茨, 拉里佩奇(google 创始人)等这些天才, 不惜辍学也要去做自己想做的事情. 可是他们都是有专业技术的人才, 通过自学自己热爱的软件信息技术,最终实现了自己的梦想. 但是对于我们普通人来说, 创业貌似只能局限在想的阶段或是经历一个漫长曲折的道路. 对于传统生意没有资金实力; 对于创新技术, 没有出奇的天才的想法; 要怎样才能成功呢? 可不可以有一个好的被证实可行的易于follow的, 同时投资少, 风险有小的系统呢?
我不仅是一个Dreamer, 而且我也是一个Doer. 只为自己工作. 一切随心行事.
